Get the look for less than $10 per piece

Since Kmart shifted its focus to dividing the store into rooms as opposed to departments the home wares section seems to just grow and grow.

The product range now includes so much more than a few cushions. You can get anything you can think of to style and decorate your room or home on a budget.

I have compiled some of my top picks from the current home wares range that is out now, not sure how long they will be available but i would have to assume its on a demand basis.

First we have the white ceramic owl. These white pieces are bold and stand out and make a great addition to any collection. In my opinion these pieces should be the main focus of the display.

These sell for around the $22-$40 mark depending on the brand but Kmart are selling these for only $7! and you cant complain with that.

Next like the Owl we have another ceramic piece. This blue ceramic lantern like the above is another statement piece.

Buy two and have them as a center piece or simply scatter them or even hang around a patio or garden. The high gloss finish gives this a touch of class.

This one is going for $9 which still falls below the $10 price tag which is excellent value.

Frozen coke coming to Kmart ?

Lining up at the check out last night as i looked up i had a shock.

I see a frozen coke stand ahead! Was i in the wrong shop?

Looks like Kmart is getting into the frozen beverage game, this stand looks like it will house two FCB machines with more than likely a coke flavor and a raspberry flavor.

The price i could see was $2.50 now the size that you would get for that is still unknown.

I think it is an interesting move and judging by the placement this will be popular with kids and teens alike waiting in line for an available register.

Underpants galore!

Looking for some new undies ?

While some brands charge upwards of $60 a pair Kmart branded are a fraction of the cost of their big branded rivals but pack a bigger punch of value.

These are such comfy undies for the price that they are!

They also have the name of the week sewn into the band.

At $20 for seven pairs of trunks or briefs these are a great buy.

Silver fade glasses ( on clearance )

Price: $9 for six         Quality: 9/10

Came across these cool looking glasses the other day!

They feature a faded silver effect leading from the stem to the top of each glass. To put it simply these glasses look expensive but actually only cost around $15 for the champagne flute set.

For that price you are getting six glasses! So in my books something that looks this cool and for that price I can’t really complain.

This range comes in all the typical vessel styles such as tumbler, wine and flutes etc.

These were fine in a dishwasher and seem to be made of a fairly strong glass mixture.

Also to note there was no funny after taste like you sometimes get with colored / cheaper glass.

Overall if you want some statement pieces for your bar or kitchen you can’t go wrong with these!

Tripod Lamp

Price: $25     Quality: 7/10

I did see these on Wednesday last week.

I have been a fan of the new Kmart lamps for a while now and have purchased many similar to this one.

This is a new modern tripod styled lamp (as shown) featuring a moulded plastic tripod base and black material shade cover.

I have seen a similar styled lamp in a designer store for around $125 + now yes you may be getting a branded designer piece but for $20 from Kmart it’s a fraction of the price for the same amount of style.

I will be defiantly be buying these soon for my place! My only bad experience with Kmart lamps was with a glass based model which the shade and bulb base falls off the glass bottom in which case I did get a replacement from my local store.

The only downside with the particular model is that there may be some small plastic overhang as the tripod base seems to be formed from one plastic mould.

You will find these in the home wares section with the other lamps in the range.

I have been an avid fan of Kmart since the big changes that took place when ex McDonald's CEO Guy Russo was  out of retirement and brought in to turn the failing business around.

This blog will mainly be dedicated to reviews on products or new lines from Kmart. And just to add no i do not work for Kmart nor have i ever worked for any of its affiliates. So all views expressed on here are my own.
